COUNTING of ballots for the constituency seats in South and Central region in this ABG General Elections is nearing completion.
In the South Region, counting has already been completed in nine constituencies there.
These constituencies include Torokina, Bolave, Lato, Baba, Motuna/Huyono/Tokunutui, Kopii, Ramu, Makis and Baubake.
Counting is still progressing in the ballots for Lule constituency, while Konnou is the only constituency in South Region where counting is yet to commence.
In the Central Region, counting has already been completed in six constituencies, including Kokoda, Kongara, South Nasioi, Eivo/Torau, Terra and Rau constituencies.
Counting of ballots for Ioro is now into the excusive stage while North Nasioi is still in the primary count stage.
In North Region, counting has already been completed in six constituencies, Haku, Halia, Taonita Tinputz, Taonita Teop, Tsitalato and Teua.
Counting of ballots for Peit constituency is now into the final stages of the elimination process, thus the new member for Peit should be declared shortly.
Counting is yet to commence in Hagogohe, Tonsu, Mahari, Nissan, Selau, Suir and Atolls constituencies.
Apart from these constituencies, counting is still progressing in the presidential seat as well as the respective regional seats for women and former combatants.
