ABG President Dr Chief John Momis is still leading the race for the presidential seat with a huge margin of votes received.
Mr Momis has been leading the race since counting started on Saturday afternoon with ballots from North Region.
Counting is now progressing with ballots from the Central Region.
After count 49 this afternoon saw Mr Momis still leading comfortably with 23, 474 votes.
His nearest rival, Sam Kauona, is trailing second with 8800 votes, followed by Ismael Toroama with 6939 votes.
Former Central Bougainville MP and Minister for Mining in the National Government, Sam Akoitai is still maintaining his fourth spot with 5075 votes, followed by Nick Peniai with 3041, and Rueben Siara with 1975.
Justin Pokata Kira is trailing with 1640 votes, Simon Dumarinu is on 1062 votes while Peter Nerau is still running last on the list with 479 votes.
There are only two presidential ballot boxes from Central Bougainville left to be counted.
Once that is completed, counting will proceed with ballots from South Bougainville.
